Book Review

Evil Librarian
by Michelle Knudsen

If you're looking for a little bit of horror, romance, and humor and you're a teenager, you'd like Evil Librarian. The novel begins with the main character, Cynthia Rothschild, crushing on a cute boy named Ryan Halsey.  The story starts moving when Cyn's best friend Annie develops a serious crush on the new, hot librarian Mr. Gabriel. Cyn watches helplessly as Annie falls in love with the hot (but creepy) Mr. Gabriel. Annie slowly lets her friendship with Cyn slip away. After watching Annie fall under some kind of spell whenever she was around Mr. Gabriel, Cyn discovers he is a demon. Together Cyn and Ryan take on Mr. Gabriel to save Annie and their high school. There were a few lines that I found to be a little risque.  Overall it's a fun read, however I'd recommend the novel for older kids, not middle schoolers. What I like the best about the YA book is it's message: believe in yourself, you're with it.

  1. SO not a teen, but looks like something I would love! I'll have to check this one out!
